The German Pavilion greets its visitors with an open and welcoming gesture in the form of a typically German cultural landscape. An idyllic meadow at the heart of the exhibition space forms a contrast to the smart, open and transparent high-tech architecture at the periphery and reflecting an ideal of merging technology and nature.
The "Grüne Aussicht" pavilion invites us on a journey through a variety of themes and experiences. Thematically, the exhibition has been conceived as a sequence of resources that ensure food and nutrition security to mankind. As such, it makes visitors aware of the importance of treating our planet sensibly and communicates the Expo's theme "Feeding the planet, Energy for Life" by way of spectacular themed worlds.
